Things to do in Boca Raton, Florida

With a population of nearly 100,000, Boca Raton is the second-largest city in Palm Beach County after West Palm Beach. It has a lot to offer, whether you are alone, with family, or with friends. Here is a guide to the best things to do in Boca Raton, Florida.

Gumbo Limbo Nature Center

This turtle hospital welcomes you for free. If you wish, donations are welcome. Volunteers who take the health of turtles to heart. They explain with passion the different methods of treatment of these marine animals. The center contains large aquariums for turtle rehabilitation and healing. It’s a great experience to learn more about them. There is also a small outdoor trail where you can observe beautiful monarch butterflies. Beware, the parking lot is filled very fast. It’s not easy to find a place. The best time to visit the center is during off-peak hours.

Boca Raton Beaches

Florida’s beaches are all beautiful, and Boca Raton is no exception! This one is particularly appreciated by surfers. Heavenly sunsets guaranteed. You can also just stop at the lookout to admire the scenery. The pontoon is accessible for only $1 and you can admire the beautiful view and even fish. There are also restaurants nearby. CafĂ© Med offers giant pancakes for breakfast and concerts on weekends. The beach is very clean. You can rent deckchairs, umbrellas, and chairs for very affordable prices that rarely exceed $10. It’s a beautiful natural environment, which has been developed with respect for the environment.

Red Reef Park

Red Reef is a large natural beach with no hotels or shops around. The water is generally very clear unless the winds are very strong. If the sea is calm, you can walk in the water to the reef and see lots of fish at the same time, especially if you have the opportunity to dive. You don’t have to go very deep to see wonderful nature. Often a simple mask is enough. The experience is fantastic for those who are afraid of deep diving. Great covered picnic areas at the entrance. Watch out for the purple flags: they signify marine life problems. There is a metered parking lot across the street. This option can be more cost-effective if you plan to spend a few hours in the park without having to ruin yourself.
